TAKE A FEW MOMENTS IN YOUR DAY TO NOTICE WHAT THE FOCUS OF YOUR THOUGHTS ARE.  DO YOU FOCUS ON WHAT IS WORKING FOR YOU AND ALL YOU HAVE TO BE GRATEFUL FOR, OR DO YOU FOCUS ON WHAT IS  LACKING AND THE CHALLENGES YOU FACE ?

WHERE ATTENTION GOES, ENERGY FLOWS

IF YOU FOCUS ON THE NEGATIVE , IT WILL ONLY EXPAND.  THE SAME IS TRUE IF YOU FOCUS ON THE POSITIVE THINGS IN YOUR LIFE.

THE AVERAGE PERSON HAS BETWEEN 50,000 – 70,000 THOUGHTS A DAY.  MANY OF THOSE THOUGHTS ARE REPETITIVE AND 70-80% ARE NEGATIVE.  MANY OF US DON’T TAKE TIME TO REALLY NOTICE THE MESSAGES WE TELL OURSELVES AND THE NEGATIVITY AROUND OUR THINKING.

TODAY BEGIN TO NOTICE YOUR THOUGHTS.

 HERE ARE A FEW TIPS TO PRACTICE WHEN YOU FIND YOURSELF ENGAGING IN NEGATIVE SELF TALK AND WORRY.

  • INTERRUPT THE THOUGHTS.  
  • SHIFT YOUR FOCUS.
  • REPLACE THE NEGATIVE WITH A POSITIVE SELF AFFIRMING THOUGHTS. 
  • THINK OF 3 THINGS TO BE GRATEFUL FOR.
  • SAY AN AFFIRMATION.

WE ALL HAVE THE ABILITY TO CREATE A LIFE FILLED WITH MORE JOY, LOVE, SATISFACTION AND PEACE.  TODAY I ENCOURAGE YOU TO CREATE THAT LIFE.

THE LOVE OF YOUR LIFE

Have you ever noticed all the conditions we place on feeling good about ourselves?  I know I did  it all the time.  I would think to myself I’ll feel better about myself when I lose 10 pounds, reach a financial goal, or business objective.  My feelings of self worth were attached to external factors.

What’s been one of  the most important lesson I’ve learned is none of that really matters.  Those things do not bring you inner peace, contentment , or genuine happiness.  Don’t get me wrong, it’s awesome to feel fit, have financial security and a business that is successful, but without truly “Loving Yourself” these achievements will feel empty.  

Spend some time today reflecting on all the positive qualities  that make you amazing.

  • your honesty,
  • your caring nature
  • your generous spirit
  • your integrity
  • your sense of humor
  • your loving heart

Self love is the ingredient required to support you in creating a life you love. Today and everyday give some loving attention to yourself.  Remind your self how special you are and share your gifts.

YOU’RE NOT A KID ANYMORE

We are all influenced by our parents hopes, dreams and visions.  As children we want to please and to fit in.  As we grow up other factors influence our perception of who we should be.  Things like school expectations, peer pressure, social beliefs.

We start to question who we are and who we truly want to be.  The secret to success and happiness is being true to what you are called to do, not what you think you’re suppose to do.  This is not always easy, yet it is completely necessary.

Today I ask you to follow your heart.  It will lead you to your unique and beautiful destiny.  Following someone else’s path will lead you to a dead end. Your dreams don’t live on dead ends.

Follow your path.  It will lead you to the life you are meant to have.

Have you ever noticed that the answers to some of our most puzzling questions turn out to be so obvious?  The answers we seek are always available.  The solutions to challenges we face are accessible too.  We  just have to be ask the right questions and see things from the right perspective.  We can either approach life from a place of fear or from a place of faith.  This choice will make all the difference in our outcomes.

Keep your eyes and your mind wide open.  Above all else, keep your heart open, have faith, and get ready for some amazing surprises.

NOVEMBER IS YOUR MONTH

Can you believe it’s November already?  I can’t.  Last November I was fortunate enough to have an opportunity to run in the New York City Marathon.  I can’t really describe to you what an amazing experience it was.  It is something I can’t believe I was able to complete and something I will never forget.  It was a top ten moment in my life, crossing the finish line.  I hope to do it again in the future.

It’s incredible the things we can accomplish when we are driven,  focused and motivated.  We all have a spirit that is unstoppable.  There is nothing we can’t do.

I want to share with you this video of Charlotte Brown, a blind pole vaulter who is an amazing example of  an “I CAN DO ANYTHING” attitude. She is incredible!

So as Thanksgiving approaches and the end of the 2014 is coming to a close I want to challenge you.  I challenge you to pick one thing, anything big or small that you have been wanting to do, been saying you are going to do, and do it.  Do it before the end of this year.  Start 2015 empowered by your accomplishment.

Have you been wanting to learn to salsa dance, write a book, meet your soul mate, lose weight, start a new career?  I don’t know what that goal or that something is for you, but I do know you can do it.  The most important step is TAKE THE FIRST STEP AND GET STARTED.

You have 58 days left in this year, end it with a sense of accomplishment, pride and confidence.
Here are a few things to help you get started:

  • WRITE IT DOWN.
  • READ IT EVERYDAY.
  • DO ONE THING EVERYDAY THAT BRINGS YOU CLOSER TO ATTAINING IT.
  • HAVE AN ACCOUNTABILITY PARTNER.
  • HAVE A SCHEDULE.
  • EMERSE YOURSELF IN MOTIVATIONAL MUSIC, VIDEOS, LECTURES, PRAYER, ETC.
  • WHEN YOU FEEL DISCOURAGED, DON’T GIVE UP.
  • VISUAllZE HOW YOU WILL FEEL WHEN YOU REACH THIS GOAL, ACHIEVE THIS ACCOMPLISHMENT.
  • REMIND YOURSELF HOW SPECIAL AND DESERVING YOU ARE.

Life is to short to look back with regret or wonder “What If I had?”
